The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) plans to submit a motion to impeach President Muizzu, following clashes in the House over the approval of cabinet members.
President Muizzu has requested the withdrawal of Indian military personnel from the Maldives, a move that has further strained relations between the two nations.
Despite the ongoing controversy, the Maldives envoy to India, Ibrahim Shaheeb, has stated that all is well between the two countries.
