Malaysian Police Rescue 402 Children from Abusive Care Homes

Authorities arrest 171 suspects linked to Islamic conglomerate GISB amid allegations of severe physical and sexual abuse.

The rescued children, aged between one and 17, were found in 20 care homes across Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.
Victims reported being sodomized, burned with heated metal objects, and forced to perform sexual acts on other children.
The care homes were allegedly operated by Global Ikhwan Services and Business (GISB), which denies any wrongdoing.
Authorities have linked GISB to the banned Al-Arqam religious sect and are investigating further for potential money laundering.
The children are undergoing health checks and will be temporarily housed at a police center in Kuala Lumpur.
