  • Issuers including Chase, American Express and Capital One have unveiled best-ever limited-time sign-up bonuses, such as 100,000 points on the Chase Sapphire Reserve and up to 175,000 points on the Amex Platinum.
  • The Platinum Card from American Express, currently $695, is expected to rise by about $200 this fall, and Chase’s Sapphire Preferred could jump from $95 to at least $150 next year.
  • Analysts forecast that Chase’s Ink Business Preferred will follow suit with an annual fee increase into the $150 range to narrow the gap below its premium offerings.
  • Capital One has removed complimentary lounge guest and authorized-user access on the Venture X to maintain its $395 annual fee and delay further price hikes.
  • American Airlines co-branded cards will move exclusively to Citi in 2026, ending new Barclays-issued applications and setting the stage for higher fees under the refreshed partnership.
