Mainz’s Bo Henriksen Handed One-Match DFB-Pokal Ban With Interior Exclusion

The DFB sports court issued a final ruling barring all access to team areas during Mainz’s second-round tie.

Overview

  • Referee Florian Badstübner showed Henriksen a red card in the 87th minute after he grabbed the ball during a Dresden throw-in outside his coaching zone, delaying the restart.
  • The suspension applies from 30 minutes before kickoff to 30 minutes after the final whistle of Mainz’s second-round match.
  • During that window he may not enter the interior, dressing rooms, tunnel or adjacent corridors, nor have direct or indirect contact with the team.
  • The sports court decision is legally final.
  • Mainz reached the next round with a 1:0 win at Dynamo Dresden, with the opponent to be drawn on August 31 and matches set for October 28–29.
