Mainz 05 Extends Contract with Coach Bo Henriksen Through 2027

The Danish coach, credited with saving the team from relegation and leading them to European contention, will remain with the Bundesliga club for an additional year.

FSV Mainz 05 has extended head coach Bo Henriksen's contract by one year, securing his tenure until 2027.
Henriksen took over in February 2024 when Mainz was in a dire position near the bottom of the Bundesliga table and guided them to avoid relegation.
Under his leadership, the team has become one of the surprises of the current season, currently sitting in sixth place and in contention for European competition qualification.
Club sporting director Christian Heidel praised Henriksen for his bold and skillful management, stating that he fits perfectly with both the team and the city of Mainz.
