Maine Lobsterman Rescues Driver from Sinking Stolen Car

Manny Kourinos, a Maine lobsterman, jumped from his boat to rescue a driver trapped in a sinking car in Casco Bay.
The car, reported stolen from South Portland earlier in the day, drove into the bay shortly after noon on Thursday.
Police and fire crews were able to force entry into the vehicle while it was underwater, but could not immediately extract the 33-year-old driver.
Kourinos, equipped with diving gear, jumped in and pulled the unresponsive driver from the car. The driver was later revived and is now in stable condition at Maine Medical Center.
The incident is still under investigation, with police urging anyone with information to come forward.
