Mahindra XUV 7XO Debuts Today as Tech-Heavy Facelift of XUV700

Mahindra positions the XUV 7XO as a tech-focused upgrade to the XUV700.

Overview

  • The reveal is scheduled for today with prices and variant details to be announced at an 8 pm IST event, and pre-bookings are open for Rs 21,000.
  • The cabin overhaul features three 12.3-inch displays, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, a panoramic sunroof, Boss Mode, BYOD theatre capability and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon system with Dolby Atmos.
  • Mahindra confirms a 540-degree camera system and a new ADAS visualisation interface, with Level-2 driver assistance reported to continue.
  • Powertrains carry over from the XUV700: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (200 hp, 380 Nm) and a 2.2-litre diesel (up to 185 hp, 450 Nm) with 6-speed manual or automatic gearboxes, and diesel all-wheel drive is expected to remain available.
  • Exterior updates include a new grille with vertical accents, reshaped headlamps and DRLs, revised tail lighting and fresh alloy designs, with the SUV targeting rivals such as the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector and Tata Safari.
