Mahindra Racing Commits to Formula E Gen4 as Full Manufacturer Through 2030

Late registration leaves the team compressing development following a confidence-boosting revival that ended months of internal debate.

Overview

  • Mahindra announced the decision at a Bengaluru event where it also unveiled the new M12Electro for the upcoming season.
  • With the pledge, Mahindra becomes the sixth confirmed Gen4 manufacturer, joining Jaguar, Nissan, Stellantis, Lola and Porsche.
  • The team signed up shortly before the first private Gen4 test at Monteblanco and did not run on track, creating a tighter preparation window for Season 13 in 2026/27.
  • Gen4 will bring permanent all-wheel drive, 450 kW race power with 600 kW in Attack Mode, up to 700 kW regenerative braking and about 55 kWh usable race energy.
  • An 18‑month rebuild and a Season 11 climb to fourth with multiple podiums secured board backing, with driver contracts and supply timelines now key next steps.
