Mahindra Launches BE 6e and XEV 9e Electric SUVs in India

The BE 6e and XEV 9e, built on the new INGLO platform, aim to expand Mahindra's footprint in India's growing EV market.

  • The BE 6e is priced at ₹18.90 lakh, while the XEV 9e starts at ₹21.90 lakh, with deliveries expected to begin in February 2025.
  • Both SUVs are powered by lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, offering two configurations: 59 kWh and 79 kWh, with ranges up to 682 km for the BE 6e and 659 km for the XEV 9e.
  • The BE 6e targets younger buyers with a sporty coupe-inspired design, while the XEV 9e offers a traditional SUV aesthetic with a luxurious interior.
  • Advanced features include Level 2+ ADAS, panoramic glass roofs, multiple screen setups (two for BE 6e, three for XEV 9e), and fast charging capabilities that allow 20-80% charge in 20 minutes.
  • Mahindra plans to manufacture 90,000 units annually initially, aiming to scale up to 200,000 by 2026, with EVs projected to form 20% of its SUV sales by 2027.
