Mahindra Launches 2025 Thar Facelift in India, Priced From Rs 9.99 Lakh

A usability-first update that leaves the engines unchanged, preserving the off-road hardware.

Overview

  • The refreshed 3-door Thar goes on sale at Rs 9.99–16.99 lakh ex-showroom with a simplified AXT and LXT trim walk across RWD and 4WD.
  • Powertrains carry over: 1.5-litre diesel (RWD, 6MT), 2.2-litre diesel (4WD, 6MT/6AT) and 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (RWD 6AT or 4WD 6MT/6AT).
  • Cabin upgrades include a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen with Adventure Stats Gen II, new steering wheel, door-mounted window switches, sliding armrest, rear AC vents and Type-C ports.
  • Usability tweaks add an internally operated fuel lid, A-pillar grab handles, rear wiper and washer, spare-wheel hub rear camera, body-coloured grille, dual-tone bumpers and two new colours—Tango Red and Battleship Grey.
  • Core 4x4 specs remain unchanged, including approach, departure and ramp-over angles with 650mm wading, and the facelift continues as a hardtop-only model with no soft-top return.
