Mahindra, Bajaj and Toyota Log September Sales Gains on GST Cut and Festive Demand

  • Mahindra reported 100,298 total vehicles in September, up 16% year on year, with domestic SUV sales at a record 56,233 units, up 10%.

  • Company leaders cited GST 2.0 and the early festive window for a retail surge, with Mahindra noting over 60% growth in SUV retails and over 70% in CVs during the first nine days of Navratri versus last year.
  • Automakers flagged trailer shortages and dispatch bottlenecks even as Mahindra’s farm equipment division posted a 49% jump in total tractor sales to 66,111 units.
