MahaRERA Expands Dispute Resolution Forums to 52 Across Maharashtra

The increase aims to expedite the resolution of homebuyer grievances, with 1,749 cases resolved since 2018.

MahaRERA's Conciliation and Dispute Resolution Forums have grown from 15 to 52 to better address the needs of homebuyers.
The forums have resolved 1,749 out of 5,958 cases filed since their inception in 2018, achieving a 32.36% success rate.
Currently, 533 grievances are being actively heard, with resolutions typically reached within 60 to 90 days.
The forums operate without MahaRERA officials, consisting instead of consumer body representatives and developer associations.
Due to their effectiveness, similar conciliation models have been adopted in several other Indian states.
