- Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said Maharashtra has the most registered startups in India, with nearly 45% led by women.
- He inaugurated a pre-incubation centre and opened the Innovation Mahakumbh at SNDT Women’s University in Mumbai.
- Fadnavis reviewed more than 140 student startup ideas and felicitated three projects in medical technology, agriculture and transport.
- Senior education and skill officials attended, including minister Mangalprabhat Lodha, UGC chairman Vineet Joshi, NAAC/NETF chair Anil Sahasrabudhe, and SNDT vice-chancellor Ujjwala Chakradev.
- Sahasrabudhe said AR/VR-based teacher-training modules are being developed and that NETF will trial edtech solutions in a sandbox before wider rollout.
