Maharashtra to Receive Over 19 Lakh Rural Houses Under PMAY Gramin Plus

- The initiative aims to provide pucca houses with basic amenities to eligible rural households, with a total estimated expenditure of ₹29,501 crore.
- Eligibility criteria for the scheme have been relaxed, allowing families with two-wheelers, refrigerators, or monthly incomes up to ₹15,000 to qualify for housing benefits.
- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis described the move as historic, with 26 lakh people registered for the scheme and 20 lakh expected to benefit this year.
