Overview
- The state confirmed the shift after a review meeting chaired by Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil with CET Cell leaders.
- For admissions in 2026–27, exams will run in two rounds in April and May for PCM, PCB, and MBA/MMS CET.
- Appearing for at least one attempt will be mandatory, a second attempt will be optional, and the higher score will be used for admission.
- From the 2027–28 cycle, the two sessions will be spaced over a longer period on the JEE Main model.
- The CET Cell said detailed dates and registration windows will be announced soon, with registrations set to open earlier to accommodate the new format.
