Maharashtra Steps Up Festive Food-Safety Drive as Tests Flag 11 Unsafe Samples

New laboratories plus fresh funding aim to cut the testing backlog.

  • Officials have inspected 1,594 establishments statewide and collected 2,369 samples focused on sweets, dairy products, edible oils, dry fruits and chocolates.
