Maharashtra Sets Nov 18 e-KYC Deadline as Ladki Bahin October Payouts Reach Aadhaar-Linked Accounts

The state is tightening checks after pausing stipends for lakhs of ineligible claimants, with district collectors restoring payments only to verified recipients.

Overview

  • Beneficiaries must complete mandatory e-KYC by November 18 on ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in to continue receiving the Rs 1,500 monthly assistance.
  • The October installment is being credited from Wednesday directly into Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of eligible women.
  • More than 2.3 crore women are registered under the scheme, which serves those aged 21–65 in households with annual income below Rs 2.5 lakh.
  • The government has stopped transfers to about 12,000 bank accounts held by men and recovered funds from ineligible recipients, including government employees and those covered by other schemes.
  • After 26.34 lakh beneficiaries were flagged ineligible earlier, district collectors are reviewing claims and resuming payments only for authenticated applicants.
