Overview

  • The admission portal, which crashed on its May 21 launch under heavy traffic, was upgraded for stability and mobile compatibility before reopening on May 26.
  • The government reversed its earlier campus-only rule and restored a 10% in-house quota for students from schools and junior colleges under the same management within a revenue district.
  • Minority-run higher secondary schools will retain a 40% quota and may transfer any unfilled minority seats to the general category after the first admission round.
  • Colleges can now voluntarily surrender vacant seats from both in-house and minority quotas after the first round to increase availability in centralised allotment rounds.
  • Registrations have exceeded 1,085,000 as of June 2, and the deadline has been moved from June 3 to June 5 at 2 PM to give applicants time to revise preferences under the updated rules.
