Overview
- State Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharne said losses span 29 districts after intense rainfall, with the worst impact during August 15–20.
- Damage was recorded in 191 talukas across 654 revenue circles, and 12 districts each reported losses exceeding 10,000 hectares.
- Nanded was the hardest hit at about 6.20 lakh hectares, followed by Washim and Yavatmal at roughly 1.64 lakh hectares each, with Dharashiv at 1.50 lakh hectares.
- Affected crops include soybean, cotton, maize, urad, tur and moong, with reports of damage to vegetables, fruits, bajra, sugarcane, onion, jowar and turmeric in some areas.
- Bharne said panchnama work is in its final stage and pledged prompt assistance under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar.
