  • A 2019 PIL by activist Yeshwant Shenoy raised concerns about high-rise obstacles in Mumbai airport’s approach paths
  • In July 2022, the Bombay High Court ordered the suburban collector to remove unauthorised portions from 48 structures flouting height norms
  • On March 26 and May 6, 2025, portions of seven buildings in Kurla and Santacruz (West) were trimmed to comply with legal height limits
  • Owners removed water tanks, antennas and concrete extensions and Mumbai International Airport Ltd confirmed compliance ahead of DGCA clearance
