Overview
- Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik said the premium Shivneri service will extend beyond the Mumbai–Pune corridor to link major cities across Maharashtra.
- MSRTC has initiated a tender to acquire 200 Volvo buses, including 30 sleeper coaches intended to replace non‑air‑conditioned sleeper services on long routes.
- Proposed corridors include Nashik–Pune, Nashik–Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nashik–Jalgaon–Dhule, Pune–Kolhapur, Pune–Sangli, Pune–Solapur, Nagpur–Chandrapur, and Nagpur–Amravati–Akola.
