Overview
- The CET Cell launched NEET‑MDS 2026 CAP Round 1 with online registration open through August 24, 2026 and payment plus document uploads required by that date to be considered for counselling.
- Candidates must pay a Rs 3,000 registration fee plus an applicable security deposit by August 24 and complete online document upload to enable verification on August 25.
- The CET Cell will publish the provisional merit list on August 26, keep a grievance window on August 27, issue the final merit list and seat matrix on August 29, and hold choice filling from August 30 to September 1 followed by seat allotment on September 2.
- Registration alone does not guarantee admission because final seats depend on eligibility checks such as internship completion by May 31, original document verification, merit rank and seat availability; AIQ registrants must also separately register for state CAP and 15% NRI applicants must register on the Foreign Candidate Registration Portal by August 23 to be eligible.
- Separately, the CET Cell released Round II seat and betterment rules for the 5‑year LL.B. CAP and DTE guidance for institutional admissions, warning that opting for betterment or reordering preferences can lead to loss of an earlier allotment and that colleges must follow CAP and Information Brochure rules when filling vacant seats.
