Overview
- The Department of Water Resources named 46 winners across ten categories from 751 entries after field checks by the Central Water Commission and Central Ground Water Board.
- Maharashtra took the top state honour, with Gujarat second and Haryana third.
- Telangana led JSJB 1.0 with 5.2 lakh recharge and storage structures, followed by Chhattisgarh with 4.05 lakh and Rajasthan with 3.64 lakh.
- Navi Mumbai ranked first among urban local bodies, while IIT Gandhinagar and ICAR–CCARI, Goa shared the Best Institution award.
- District recognitions included Mirzapur as the Northern Zone winner, and the ministry announced 100 total awards spanning states, 67 districts, six municipal corporations, one ULB, industry bodies, NGOs, philanthropists and nodal officers.
