Overview
- India sold 10.39 lakh passenger vehicles in Q2 FY26, with the Western Zone at 3.44 lakh and Maharashtra on top at 1,31,822 units for a 12.7% share.
- Two-wheeler sales reached 55.62 lakh units, led by Uttar Pradesh at 6,92,869 units for a 12.5% share, with the Western Zone contributing 19.33 lakh.
- Three-wheeler volumes were 2.29 lakh, led by the Southern Zone with 77,000 units, as Uttar Pradesh topped states with 28,246 units for a 12.3% share.
- Commercial vehicle sales totaled 2.40 lakh, with the Western Zone at 92,000 and Maharashtra leading states at 37,091 units for a 15.5% share.
- Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat together accounted for roughly 30% of nationwide auto sales in July–September, based on SIAM data.
