Maharashtra Launches Revenue Week With Land Title Issuance, Refugee Amnesty, Regulatory Audits
The week will set fixed dates for issuing property rights, auditing social-purpose leases, revoking fake documents by mid-August

- On August 2, the government will issue land titles to individuals who encroached on state land before January 1, 2011, and allocate Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana housing to eligible families.
- Nearly 500,000 Sindhi refugee households will receive freehold property cards under the Special Amnesty Scheme 2025 at ready reckoner rates applicable at their time of migration.
- The state has finalised its M-Sand policy SOP to phase out river sand mining by promoting manufactured sand and streamline site allocations via the Mahakhanij portal.
- On August 6, district collectors will audit land leased for hospitals, schools and other social purposes to identify irregularities and recommend penalties or forfeitures.
- A task force will verify around 45,000 suspected fake birth certificates held by Bangladeshi nationals and cancel invalid documents by the August 15 deadline.
