Overview

• A forged Government Resolution dated October 3, 2024 under budget head 2515 1238 spurred nearly ₹6.94 crore of rural works across four talukas in Ahilyanagar district
• Contractors began executing tenders and sought payments until officials at Mantralaya cross-checked records and discovered no genuine order existed
• On March 28, 2025 the RDD issued a circular directing Zilla Parishads and PWD superintending engineers to accept only resolutions sent from [email protected] and to flag any doubts
• A departmental inquiry has been launched and local offices have been advised to prepare criminal case files against those found responsible for the forgery
• The RDD has broadened its probe to determine whether similar fake orders triggered unauthorized spending in other districts
