A video of the incident, showing Shinde instructing security personnel and helping the injured man, went viral on social media, sparking mixed public reactions.
Earlier in the day, Shinde participated in Republic Day celebrations and inaugurated the North Channel Bridge connecting Mumbai's Coastal Road Project and the Worli-Bandra Sea Link.
This is not the first time Shinde has intervened in such situations, as he has previously stopped his convoy to assist accident victims in Maharashtra.
