Maharashtra Civic Polls Today: Where to Vote and What You Need

Officials urge voters to verify details via official portals before heading to the polls.

Overview

  • Polling runs on January 15 from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm across 29 municipal corporations, including Mumbai’s BMC, with BMC results scheduled for January 16.
  • Voters can locate their polling booth on the Maharashtra State Election Commission’s voter services portal or through the Election Commission’s Voter Helpline app using an EPIC number or name search.
  • Those preferring offline help can use voter slips, visit local Electoral Registration Offices or ward offices, consult Booth Level Officers, or check printed rolls displayed at polling stations.
  • A valid photo ID such as Aadhaar, PAN card or passport is required at the booth, while the voter slip is optional but can speed verification.
  • After more than six years without these municipal polls, authorities cite the scale—over 3.48 crore voters and nearly 16,000 candidates across 893 wards—and have declared a public holiday in civic areas with extensive police deployment for orderly voting and counting.
