Overview
- Mumbai’s BMC released its draft ward plan keeping the total at 227 wards and invited written objections at designated offices until September 4.
- Pune’s PMC proposed 41 electoral panels to elect 165 corporators, with 40 four-member panels and one five-member panel for Ambegaon–Katraj.
- Pimpri-Chinchwad’s PCMC kept 32 prabhags electing 128 corporators, opened objections through September 4, and scheduled hearings from September 5 to 12 with a final notification expected October 3–6.
- Civic bodies said the drafts were prepared using 2011 Census populations and updated voter lists, with mapping aided by satellite and GIS tools and final approval to come from the State Election Commission.
