Maharashtra CET Cell Extends CAP Registration for BE/BTech and MBA to July 16

The move aims to absorb heavy applicant demand and follow a portal fix that now lets candidates retrieve JEE Main scores for completed applications.

Overview

  • The CET Cell pushed the online CAP registration deadline to 5 pm on July 16 and set document verification to finish by 5 pm on July 17, with a provisional merit list due July 19 and the final merit list on July 24.
  • Officials reported strong participation with 276,794 registrations for BE/BTech and MBA/MMS combined as of July 11, driven largely by 228,536 engineering applicants.
  • A technical problem that blocked retrieval of JEE Main percentiles from DigiLocker was resolved in coordination with the NTA, and candidates who already confirmed applications can now unlock and update their scores through the portal.
  • HMCT (B.HMCT/M.HMCT) and BSc/agriculture streams follow separate CAP timetables: HMCT registration runs to July 19 with a provisional merit list on July 22 and a final list on July 28, and other undergraduate schedules proceed on programme-specific dates.
  • Candidates must upload scanned documents and choose E‑Scrutiny (online) or Physical Scrutiny (in-person) before verification deadlines; MAH CET applicants are exempt from registration fees while NRI/OCI/PIO and foreign-category applicants must pay a prescribed non-refundable fee.
