Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis retained the Home Ministry along with other key departments, while Deputy CM Eknath Shinde was allocated Urban Development, Housing, and Public Works.
Deputy CM Ajit Pawar was assigned the Finance and Excise portfolios, consolidating his influence within the alliance.
The division of certain departments, such as Water Resources and Relief and Rehabilitation, has raised concerns about administrative efficiency and potential confusion at the bureaucratic level.
Opposition parties criticized the delays in portfolio allocation, claiming it hampered the winter legislative session and left critical issues unresolved.
