Overview

• SRA will identify clusters exceeding 50 acres for integrated redevelopment, with final sign-off by a high-level committee chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary (Housing).
• Projects may be executed via joint ventures or private developers, with Floor Space Index allowed above 4 in special cases to house Project Affected Persons or relocate slums from CRZ and other non-developable zones.
• The Urban Wastewater Treatment and Reuse Policy 2025 was approved for 424 urban local bodies, designating the Urban Development Department as nodal agency and sanctioning Rs 500 crore for initial rollout.
• The Maharashtra Gem & Jewellery Policy 2025 targets Rs 1 lakh crore in investment and five lakh jobs by 2030, with incentives to expand the sector and an aim to double exports to USD 30 billion.
• Additional decisions include allocating 2.38 hectares at Mouza Badnera for an e-bus depot under the PM-E Bus Scheme, extending MACP benefits to non-teaching staff at 980 ashram schools, amending the land fragmentation law, and setting up a senior civil court at Akole.
