Overview
- Metro Line-11 from Wadala–CSMT to Gateway of India received approval with a ₹23,487.51 crore budget provision.
- The state okayed financial participation of ₹2,550 crore for the ₹5,100 crore Pune–Lonavala third and fourth lines to be executed by MRVC with defined contributions from PMC, PCMC and PMRDA.
- Funds of ₹4,826 crore were cleared to buy 238 AC local trains under MUTP-3 and 3A with a 50% state share of ₹2,413 crore, with the chief minister stating AC fares will match non-AC services.
- Two new Pune Metro stations at Balajinagar and Bibwewadi and a 421-metre south shift of Katraj station were approved with an added ₹683.11 crore, alongside consent to raise loans for Pune Lines 2 and 4 extensions, Thane Ring Metro and Nagpur Metro Phase II.
- The cabinet endorsed MUTP-3B’s 136.652 km of new suburban routes with a 50% state burden and a PPP elevated link to Navi Mumbai airport, while also sanctioning ₹3,750 crore for a new Bandra East High Court complex and raising disability assistance to ₹2,500 per month.
