Overview

  • From June 2025, MSRTC employees’ dearness allowance rises from 46% to 53% of basic pay with pending arrears to be cleared as funds permit.
  • A memorandum of understanding with SBI secures ₹1 crore accidental death or full disability cover and up to ₹80 lakh for partial disability, on or off duty.
  • Free travel passes for nearly 35,000 retired employees and their spouses have been extended from nine months to a full year.
  • Staff may choose between the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana or the Dharamveer Anand Dighe Medical Reimbursement Scheme for cashless healthcare.
  • Shinde urged cleaner, better-equipped bus depots and the launch of cargo services under plans to convert stations into modern ‘bus ports’ to boost revenue.
