Overview
- Authorities can appoint Construction and Development Operators through tenders to build integrated townships or international-standard commercial districts on CIDCO and other agency land with development rights and sales permissions.
- A separate policy clears integrated cluster redevelopment for MHADA colonies measuring 20 acres or more in Mumbai and its suburbs, with MHADA’s Planning Authority supervising 114 identified projects.
- Rehabilitation will use the highest permissible FSI without requiring individual occupant consent, while developers must secure resolutions from the relevant housing societies.
