- Named investments include Adani Enterprises’ proposed Rs 70,000 crore integrated surface coal gasification and downstream derivatives complex in Nagpur, Akshat Greentech’s Rs 12,500 crore solar cells and wafer plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Graphite India’s Rs 4,651 crore synthetic graphite anode plant in Nashik, HS Hyosung’s Rs 1,740 crore tyre‑cord unit in Nagpur, and NLMK India Coating’s Rs 840 crore electrical steel project.
- Officials said most projects are in advanced stages of implementation or land acquisition and are expected to be rolled out over the next three to four years, while the Adani coal gasification facility will be built in phases over a seven‑ to ten‑year horizon.
- The government estimates the combined projects will generate about 20,000 direct and indirect jobs across Vidarbha, Marathwada, Nashik and other regions, and officials said one project is already operational while another has secured land.
- The approvals also finalise land acquisition rates for the proposed Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje International Airport near Purandar, Pune, at an estimated requirement of about 3,000 acres, a move that links infrastructure planning to the new industrial investments.
