Overview

• The Maharashtra Cabinet has approved 325 pending industrial proposals, unlocking investments worth ₹1,00,655.96 crore.
• These proposals, which had been stalled due to expired industrial policies, are expected to create 93,317 new jobs across sectors.
• The electronics sector received the largest share, with 313 proposals approved under the 2016 Electronics Policy, promising ₹42,925.96 crore in investments and 43,242 jobs.
• Ten proposals under the 2018 Space & Defense Manufacturing Policy were cleared, worth ₹56,730 crore and projected to generate 15,075 jobs.
• The state government continues drafting updated industrial policies to replace the expired frameworks under which these interim approvals were granted.
