Overview
- Cabinet cleared first-phase borrowing of ₹2,000 crore from HUDCO under the Maharashtra Urban Infrastructure Development Loan Scheme.
- Allocations include ₹822.22 crore for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar water supply, ₹268.84 crore for four NMRDA sewage projects in Nagpur, and ₹116.28 crore for Mira-Bhayandar water works.
- The facility is structured to keep AMRUT 2.0 and Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 projects on schedule by helping financially weak civic bodies raise their share.
- Concessional electricity for lift irrigation will continue until March 31, 2027 at ₹1.16 per unit for high-tension schemes and ₹1 per unit for low-tension schemes, with Mahavitaran to be compensated ₹886.15 crore in 2025–26 and ₹872.23 crore in 2026–27.
