Overview

• The state will allocate ₹53,354 crore to fund land acquisition for 11 major projects, spanning expressways, railway lines, and airport developments.
• Fadnavis has ordered 15-day land acquisition windows for the Jalna–Nanded Expressway at Selu and for the Wardha–Gadchiroli and Wardha–Nanded rail lines.
• The finance department must set aside ₹12,000 crore for the Nagpur–Goa Shaktipeeth Expressway and finalize its alignment on the PM Gati Shakti platform to limit forest land impact.
• Clearance procedures for the Virar–Alibaug corridor’s Morbe–Karanja section will be fast-tracked to address mangrove and forest land requirements.
• Aviation upgrades include extending Akola airport’s runway to 2,400 metres, constructing a modern terminal, and completing an obstacle limitation surface survey for the proposed Gadchiroli airport.
