World’s Largest Religious Gathering, Maha Kumbh Mela, Begins in India

The arrival of devotees started a week ago, with nearly 50 lakh (5 million) entering the Mela area by Sunday evening. Mahakumbh Nagar district magistrate Vijay Kiran Anand confirmed that all preparations are ready for the Paush Purnima bathing festival.
