Overview
- China’s seismic network reported the quake at 5:49 a.m. local time with an epicenter at 34.91°N, 104.58°E and a depth of 10 km.
- The tremor was felt in Longxi, Zhangxian, Weiyuan and Lintao in Dingxi City, as well as Wushan in Tianshui City.
- Local authorities have reported no casualties so far while impact assessments continue.
- The China Earthquake Administration activated a Level-3 response, and the State Council relief office and Emergency Management Ministry launched a Level-IV response and dispatched a work team.
- National fire and rescue teams reached the epicenter, local forces are deploying about 200 rescuers with 28 vehicles plus 26 specialized personnel with 7 vehicles, and residents reported damage to some rural houses.
