Magnitude 5.1 in Oaxaca Tops Spate of Quakes Across the Americas

  • Peru’s IGP registered a magnitude 4.0 quake at 01:02 on Nov. 5 near Palpa in the Ica region, felt at intensity III in Palpa, with no reported damage.
  • USGS listings for the past day show multiple minor quakes in the United States, including a M3.1 near San Juan Bautista, California and several events in Alaska and other states.
