• INPRES confirmed a magnitude 4.8 quake at 17:42 local time at 9 km depth, 74 km southwest of Patquía near the San Juan border.
• Shaking reached medium intensity in Villa San Agustín de Valle Fértil, with weaker effects reported in nearby cities of San Juan and La Rioja.
• Very light tremors were noted in parts of Córdoba, Catamarca and San Luis, according to media reports.
• A Radio Fénix broadcast caught the tremor during an interview with councilor Pablo Herrera, who said, “Sí, se me está moviendo el auto.”
• Reports described strong shaking in the city of La Rioja, and authorities had not reported injuries or damage.
