Magnitude 3.0 Quake Hits Off Valencia, Fourth in 24 Hours

  • It is the fourth seismic event in roughly a day, following three minor quakes near Cullera early Friday that measured 1.8–1.9 with depths ranging from 0 to 12 km.
  • A separate offshore quake of magnitude 2.4 was logged near Torrevieja at 4:31 a.m. Friday at 17 km depth, based on official data.
  • No damage has been reported in the coverage, and the IGN continues to monitor and update seismic readings.
  • The seismic activity coincides with the DANA Alice weather system, with AEMET maintaining red alerts for heavy rain in much of Alicante and orange alerts in Valencia.
