Overview

• Southampton Magistrates’ Court banned Joseph Butcher for three years for drug driving on the A34 at Sutton Scotney and fined him £461 plus costs and a surcharge.
• Oxford Magistrates’ Court banned Joseph Hwang for 36 months for two drug-driving offences and ordered 50 hours of unpaid work and up to 12 days of supervised appointments.
• Yorkshire and other regional courts issued six-month disqualifications for speeding, with Sean Haigh and James Yeomans banned after guilty pleas to separate offences.
• Courts also punished procedural breaches, with defendants convicted in their absence for failing to identify a driver receiving fines, points, and in one case a six-month ban.
• Non-motoring cases brought community orders, unpaid work, and short custody, including a two-week jail term for shop theft, a community order for knife possession, and unpaid work for a breach of a sexual harm prevention order.
