Magic Kingdom Refreshes Tangled Restroom Mural
A fresh coat of paint restores faded colors to preserve the original artwork for ongoing park upkeep.
Overview
- The exterior mural at the Tangled restrooms in Fantasyland was repainted and fully uncovered for public view after the work was completed and visitors spotted the refreshed artwork on Wednesday, October 21.
- Crews kept the original design intact and focused the work on reviving color vibrancy, restoring gold, pink, lavender and purple floral and sun motifs that run from the entry arch down the right wall and onto the pavement.
- Large rolling planters that had temporarily shielded the work area were removed when the repaint finished, and the restrooms remain open to guests with only minimal disruption reported.
- Photos taken in August and September showed faded and scuffed paint that prompted the refresh, and the mural was last repainted in June 2025 as part of a recurring one-to-two-year maintenance cycle for outdoor theming at Walt Disney World.
- The Tangled touch-up is one of several small- and large-scale maintenance projects across Magic Kingdom in 2026, reflecting routine efforts by operations and painting teams to protect guest-facing decorations from sun, storms and heavy foot traffic.
