Magic Kingdom Boat Service Suspended Overnight Oct. 19–21

Disney has not given a reason for the outages, leaving guests to use buses, the monorail or walking as alternatives.

Overview

  • Posted dock notices at Magic Kingdom and Fort Wilderness say water transportation will be unavailable nightly from 10:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 19–21.
  • The notices cover routes linking Magic Kingdom with Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, Fort Wilderness and the Transportation and Ticket Center.
  • Guests affected by the overnight window should plan to use Disney buses, the monorail where it serves their route, or pedestrian walkways for nearby resorts.
  • Reporters observed crews and an expansion project at the Magic Kingdom ferry dock near Seven Seas Lagoon, but Disney has not confirmed that construction is the cause of the suspensions.
  • Travelers should check posted dock signs, ask cast members and consult the My Disney Experience app because not every boat or launch may be affected and extra travel time could disrupt late-night returns or early-morning plans.
