The film, which premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, is now being shopped around to other distributors by its filmmakers.
Majors was praised for his performance in the film, which was initially seen as a potential awards contender.
Searchlight Pictures had acquired the film for a mid-seven-figure deal in February 2023, but removed it from its release calendar after Majors' arrest in March 2023.
Majors, who also lost his role as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe due to his conviction, is awaiting sentencing on February 6 and could face up to a year in jail.
