Overview
- The joint album Nashville, which was released on October 2, contains eleven songs recorded in five days at Blackbird Studio in Nashville.
- Johannes Oerding says he repeatedly corrected Peter Maffay's wording in the studio, telling Maffay “Du, das sagt man heute aber nicht mehr so” when phrases felt dated.
- Peter Maffay says he accepted Oerding's suggestions, sometimes rolling his eyes, and found the revised lines often easier to sing.
- The two agreed quickly on melodies and arrangements despite the lyric debates, and both describe the collaboration as constructive and harmonious.
- The project will lead to a Germany tour starting on April 15, 2027, marking Maffay's return to large-scale touring after largely stepping back in 2024.
