Madhya Pradesh Unveils Sarsi Island Resort to Boost Tourism

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurates the eco-friendly resort in Shahdol district, highlighting its potential as a global tourist destination.

The Sarsi Island Resort, located in the backwaters of Bansagar Dam in Shahdol district, was inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on December 14, 2024.
The resort features eco-friendly accommodations, including 10 eco-huts, a boat club, a modern conference room, and recreational facilities like a gym, library, and children’s play area.
The project is part of the state's 'Jan Kalyan Parv,' a campaign marking the completion of one year of the current government, with daily public welfare initiatives being announced or inaugurated.
The resort aims to attract both domestic and international tourists, offering proximity to Bandhavgarh National Park and showcasing the natural beauty of the region.
Officials emphasized the resort's sustainable design and its role in boosting the local economy and tourism infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh.
